Review of our work, plans for the next year

□ Our next organising meeting is on Tuesday 14 July, 7.0pm, on zoom. We will finalise arrangements for our annual meeting, and discuss campaigning in political parties and community outreach. All welcome: reply to this message and we’ll send you the zoom link

□ It’s very good to see Transport for London freezing bus fares for another four months. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cqj185wq4llo

Good, too, to see them acknowledge that lower fares encourage more people to use public transport, make for a better summer, and boost the economy. And great to see Sadiq Khan saying he will do everything he can to keep services as affordable as possible.

OK then! What about setting up a publicly-owned bus company, as you committed to do in 2024? And what about a proper review of all fares, and proper consideration for free public transport? asks Simon Pirani of FareFreeLondon
